Free share from Freetrade.io

Get yourself a free share from Freetrade.io with this link – https://magic.freetrade.io/join/matthew/b3de0696

How does it work?

Sign up for Freetrade.io and deposit money into the account. When you deposit money you get a free share worth between £3 to £200 (and I also receive a share in the interest of transparency).

How much work is involved?

Freetrade.io is regulated by the FCA (the Financial Conduct Authority) so just like if you signed up to a financial institution for a bank account, you will need to prove who you are and have your personal details to fill in the application form. Part of this will include a picture of your driving license or passport.

You will also need an Apple or Android device to install their app onto your phone or tablet (for some reason you can only access this via an app and not the website).

Once they have vetted that you are who you say you are you will need to link a bank account / card and top up the account by at least a £1 (last time I checked) to receive the free share.

Is it really free?

You will have to deposit at least £1 into your account to activate the free share (but theoretically you could withdraw this back to your account or invest in some other shares with whatever you put in).

So yes free in this case does actually mean free!

Review

I’ll confess I was a bit worried when signing up (for no other reason than I didn’t know the company) but truth be told I’ve had 0 issues since joining up a few months ago. Everything is straight forward and it allows me to buy shares with no fees – great when you want to invest into some stocks without blowing loads of money at once like with some accounts. I’ve had family and friends sign up as well without any issues and it’s reassuring to know that my investment is backed by the FCA.

The free shares I’ve received so far (from family members joining up) range from about £5 – £14 – not bad for free!

If I could improve one thing with FreeTrade it’s that I’d like to be able to login to the website on my main computer to check my shares. The app is fine, but most of the time I’m using a PC which (at the moment) I can’t access it through.

Score – 4/5
