Clickworker

Along with Amazon MTurk, Clickworker has become synonymous with the ‘working online’ crowd. It’s a German company which means that payment is in Euros.

What do you need?

You need to sign up to their website (this is an affiliate link). They may ask you for additional details upon signing up to prove who you are and to prevent fraud. I had to submit an image of my driving license for example.

You will also need a Paypal or a Payoneer account to collect your earnings with a €5 payout threshold for Payoneer and a €10 payout threshold for Paypal.

What are the tasks like?

Unlike MTurk Clickworker tries to match you to jobs that cater to your skill set. When you sign up you are asked what your set of skills are and it will try and match you to jobs that match with your talents.

Of course there are still surveys that can be done as well as academic research as well as more in depth tasks.

How much can I earn?

Like most sites – you have to qualify for the better paid tasks and have been on the site for a while to build up your reputation. Initially tasks are not well paid until you get qualified.

Like MTurk, high paid work goes quickly and you can sometimes struggle to find good paying jobs.

Is it worth doing?

It is certainly worth doing as long as you are willing to put the effort in to getting qualified for some of the more well paid jobs, just know that you will probably go through some low paid ones to start off with.

If you are willing to put in the grind it could become a nice little earner.
